Chaos theory is concerned basically with stable and unstable systems. Instability in market systems arises when there are intentional destabilisation of the functioning of a market due to greed, fear, rumours, strife, contentions, and purposeful 'short-selling' of  an instrument for a quick profit - motivated by greed. Both stable and unstable behaviour occurs in space called fractal. A fractal space has boundaries which enables us to map and observe stable and unstable behaviours.

Investment strategy under the Divine direction of God

The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:3 that as we grow in our knowledge of God, through his divine power He gives us everything we need for life and godliness. God's Word is useful for correcting us when we are wrong and teaching us what is right (2 Timothy 3:16). A common problem here is that believers have not advanced beyond memorizing God's word to graphical and mathematical representations that can help us to observe and detect when actions of worldly market participants (investors) are transgressing God's laws. 

If we know this facts, that is, when worldly investors are irrational or transgressing God’s law in their decisions making process, we can warn governments, investment houses, banks, churches, individual retail investors about this so that people can protect their investment capital against such irrational crowd behaviour.

Managing Investment under the Divine Direction of God

 Every human activity could either be categorized as right or wrong, unclean or clean, good or evil, righteous or unrighteous. Your investments in the financial markets should not be an exception. God expects spiritual leaders to teach His people to distinguish between biblically right and wrong behaviours. He says, through the prophet Ezekiel: "They shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean" (Ezekiel 44:23). 

What are holy and unholy or clean and unclean investment behaviours? 

Of recent "short-selling" investment practices have been identified even by earthly market regulators as unclean practices. We also have instabilities in the markets when participants are filled with rumours, fear, greed, strife, etc. The Bible tells us that these behaviours are unholy and offensives to God. Thus, even if we are holy, but the investment environment is not, we should be able to restrain ourselves from the market for such a time it remained unholy; and manage our investments based on what God wants and not what we want or what  we know or the world taught us.

Divine standard

Currently the world do not have any standard to measure their participations or investing in the modern financial markets. Our challenges is to be able to honour God with our investments by abstaining from markets that may look profitable in the short term, yet offensive to Him. Many secular investors are not able to do this because of their own worldly motivations that lured them to invest in the markets in the first instance. 

These inner and selfish motivations keeps people away from godly standards. Many people fear that they will lose out from the market if they don't participates in short- term irrational market orgies popularly called crowd behaviours.
